Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Vietnam. Arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, Snail Adventure Tour guide and driver will greet and pick you up to the hotel at the heart of Hanoi capital. Hanoi, the antique and dynamic city of Vietnam, reserves a unique old world charm and several of the most striking colonial architecture of Asia. After the checking-in, Take relax by your own and do briefing itinerary with our guide for coming days. enjoy a cyclo ride through the bustling streets in the Old Quarter to discover the ancient and modern beauty of Hanoi. After the tour, you will be warmly welcome with a special welcoming dinner in a typical Vietnamese food restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi city.

Day 2: Hanoi fulday city tour – Night Train – Lao Cai

After hearty breakfast in hotel, our guide and supported bus meet you at 7:30 Am at lobby and commence to explore Hanoi city and visit some welknown historical relics such such Hochiminh’s Mausoleum , his Former Stilt-house Residence, the Presidential Palace and One Pillar Pagoda. Keep going to see the  Temple of Literature: Originally built as  a  temple  to  Confucius,  this  is  the  site  of  Vietnam's  first  university dating  back  to  1070.  The  temple  highlights  the  importance  that Vietnamese society placed then and   now on education.  We will visit one of the  most interesting museums in Vietnam,  Museum of Ethnology, which is widely acknowledged as the best in the country and has an extensive display dedicated to Vietnam's 54 Ethnic minority people. Have lunch in Local restaurant. After lunch,  discover 36 ancient street and Dong Xuan market. Come back to hotel for taking shower  and relax.  we will have chance to enjoy the  unique  Water  Puppet  show  to  hear  to  know  Vietnamese  traditional  instruments  and singing from the live musicians who play throughout the show. Have dinner in local restaurant. The shuttle bus take us to Train station to catch the night train to Lao Cai.  Stay over night in AC four berth share cabin.

Day 3: Lao Cai -  Transfer Bac Ha - Sapa

The Train arrives in Lao cai Train station at 5: 30 A.m. Our Adventure guide and support van will pick you up to Local Restaurant for early breakfast. Following the hearty meal. Our van will take you to colourful Bac Ha market on scenic road. you are rewarded by stunning scenery, sublime mountain range and very colourful hill tribe people on the way to market. Bac Ha Market is one of the unique hilltribal market open every Sunday for both Vietnmaese business and ethnic minority exchange their productions. However, Sunday market is a good chance for hill tribe show off their skillful embroibery lothclothes, culture and affections.  You are impressive on colorful hill tribe market with their unique productions to exchange with each other or you can go to animal corner to take picture  buffalo, cows, dog,cats... are dealing with.
After visiting cultural market, we come back to local restaurant for lunch.  And enjoy special food of Hmong people. We also spend the time to visit and experience their village to learn further more their daily life and culture, and their traditional contruction. Ou van will take you infront of the village and transfer you back to Sapa. Upon rriving in Sapa. Do check in have have dinner in local restaurant.

Day 4: Sapa Hiking trip in Sapa Scenic valley

Today is the first day in our four day trekking tour in Sapa. We separated our luggages into small bag and big suitcase. Every trekking day will carry day bag with your travel document, firstaid and water. The big bag will be transfered by van or Jeep car to homestays every day . you also make sure to bring enought water and snackbars, fruit for trekking day. We commence  to trek frm hotel passing the town and centra  market to down to Cat Cat Village. On the way, you admire the breathtaking scenery and magnificent rice terrance.  We trek down ward to Waterfall, where you can enjoy fresh water and picturesque waterfall. Turn off the single track trail  toY Linh Ho Village. You will trek on dirt path and rice paddy paths, crossing stream to Y linh Ho.  Have picnic lunch in Y linh Ho village. After lunch we continue trekking on dirt road, passing many Hmong tribe villages and  rice terraces to Sapa Valley. You will expose the stunning rice terrace beauty.  Arriving in Tavan Homestay afternoon. Enjoy hot coffee or cold drink beers before having dinner with family. Stay overnight in Zay hill tribal village.

Day 5: Ta Van – Hiking to Supan – Transfer to Ban Den

Enjoy pancake and banana cake with honey for breakfast. we  make warm up and start new trekking from Homestay to Cau May Water fall on ascending road to Hmong village and then trekking through rice terrace path, passing the jungle and hillside to Water fall.  You are rewarded by scenic rice terrace panoramas of Sapa valley.  Upon arriving in waterfall, taking photo and enjoy pristine nature. Keep trekking down hill at the foot of Waterfall and set directly to SuPan commune. Have lunch in local restaurant. After lunch meal. We keep hiking on tarmac road lead to Ban Den and the trekking down ward to ban Ho Village on single track trail. We have opportunity in visiting another tribe in our trekking route: Tay People. Stay overnight with Tay People is  excited way to experience their daily life and culture. Enjoy incredible food  for dinner

Day 6: Ban Ho – Transfer to Lao Cai – Night train back to Hanoi

Breakfast with the family and depart to water fall. Enjoy the stunning view and swimming, return to Ban Ho to visit the people in this village. Say good bye the the family and trek along beaten track to T junction where uour van will pick you up and transfer back to Sapa town . lunch will be prepare in local reataurant. After lunch, you will be free to explore Sapa town and do shopping by yourown. Meeting pour van again and coming back to Lao Cai Station. Upon arriving in Lao Cai, have early dinner and set off our luggages on the train to Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi Arrival – Transfer to Mai Chau Cycle tours

Our train will push you back to Hanoi at 5 :00 am in the morning. Our shuttle bus will meet you and tranfser to hotel for taking shower and having breakfast. following hearty breakfast, we commence to Mai Chau via Hoa Binh. Take two hours transfer out of Hanoi city to Luong son Town, we start cycling on undulating road to Kim Boi for break coffee and tea. On the way you  are fascinated by  lush scenery of sugar cain, coin field and orange gardens, magnificent limestone mountains . we keep riding to Cao Phong town and take short transfer to local restaurant. After lunch we avoid main road by transfer 3o minutes to bottom of Thung khe pass. We restart cycling on scenic route, passing Thai tribe village to the Bank of Da river. We ride on paved road along the bank of the river to Bai Sang and down hill to Mai Chau Town, turn of  village road lead to Mai Chau Ecolodge.  Have dinner in local restaurant.

Day 8: Mai Chau Bicycle Loop

Waking up you early in the morning by birds and chicken sounding, you will be treated by Thai traditional cake for breakfast with hot coffee and tea. After light breakfast, we cycle through different villages on a mix of good single track paths  link from villages to anothers, the view are stunning as the ride passes and cross lush rice paddies./ Unique to this area are fan palms, grown specifically to use for roofing.We pass hot springs, cycle cross suspension bridges and follow the contours around beautiful terraced rice fields. We stop for lunch en route in local family. After lunch, we cycle back road, single tracks, buffalo trails through rice terraced fields  .Stay at local homestay of Phom Coong Village. The rest of afternoon is at leisure to wander by foot or explore the village trails further by bike. Dinner and over night at Thai Homestay or Mai Chau Ecolodge

Day 9: Cycling tour from  Mai Chau – Cuc phuong

Breakfast in hotel. We say good bye the family and resort, our shuttle bus will take us to Phu Luong nature Reserve . upon arriving in Kho Muong Village, we commence to ride down hill to Pho Doan and Pho doan Commune. Phu Luong Nature Reserve and Cuc Phuong National Park is an area of outstanding beauty, cultural interest and high biodiversity value stretching from Mai Chau in the north west to Cuc Phuong in the south west. It is blessed with rich forest, limestone panoramas, magnificent rice terraces and breathtaking scenery. Cycling in this area, you will experience the daily life and culture of Thai and Muong People.  We cycle on  tarmac road lead to Pho Doan township and turn left, crossing the bridge to Cam Luong commune. Have lunch enroute. After lunch we continue to ride on dirt road and paved road, passing many hill tribe villages, rice terrace paddies, and sublime limestone mountain ranges. Arrivng in Cuc Phuong national park late afternoon. Do check in  and have relax before going out for dinner.

Day 10: Cycling tour from Cuc Phuong – Ninh Binh

After breakfast, our minibus take us into the depth of forest. From the center of the Park, we will cycle along canopied forest trails and through primitive jungle – an exclusive, tourist – free route, all the way to the  gate of National park. Stop for refreshment, then we visit the Endangered primate Rescure Center. The day’s cycling continues onto Dong Giao  –  pineapple plantation where you can enjoy fresh pineapple from  local farmers selling on sideroad. We ride out of plantation to Tamdiep Township, transfer to Tam Coc for Lunch. Afterlunch, we ride through magnificient limestone mountains rise up majestically from the green rice  paddies,  visit Bich Dong Pagoda and Thai Vi Temple.  We kepp rideing through village and rice paddy to Trang An newly world desinated natural heritage. Take  two hours boat trip to visit and explore the beaty of stalagmite and stalagtites in different cave whilst boating through.  Enjoy emerald stream water and  picturesque scenery. Our boat come back to the wharf, we ride on bike through magnificent limestone mountain ranges soaring above the rice paddy. Arriving in Legend hotel, check in and  relax in Simming pool. Dinner and stay overnight in  Tam Coc Hidden Charm Hotel.

Day 11: Ninh Binh Cycling and transferring to Hai Phong

Breakfast in hotel, we avoid the hustle and bustle of Ninh binh city in the morning by transfer out of city. Upon arriving Hung Ha , Thai Binh. We start cycling on rice paddy road and passing vast of rice paddy and peaceful villages and Tobaco farms in Vinh Bao , Hai Phong city. Cycling in the heart of Red River Delta ( from Thai Binh to Hai phong) is interesting way to interact with local  people, explore the wet rice civilization and exotic scenery.Have lunch in Tien Lang Township. Following to lunch meal. We continue to ride around the village and rice paddy to  Tien Lang township and turn right to Hai Phong city on tarmac road. upon arriving in Hai Phong do check in and relax by yourself. Dinner in local reataurant.

Day 12: Hai phong Cycling to Binh Bridge Transfer to Halong Bay

Have delicious  breakfast in hotel, we  start  cycling from hotel through City to Northeast direction, cross over bridge and then cycling on pumpy road, through countryside, vegetable garden, peaceful villages to  public ferry where tributaries of Red river separate HaiPhong and Quang Ninh Province. We go to the land of Quang Ninh Province,keep going to Bieu Nghi T junction with High way 18 and tranfer to Halong Bay.Arriving in Halong Bay, you will check in and take cruise to explore Halong Bay. Day 13: Halong Bay Exploring and transferring to Cat Ba Island

After breakfast, you will  follow the local guide to visit the Sung Sot Cave and do kayaking  in Luon grotto, Back to cruise for checking out and having early lunch while our cruise is going  back to harbour. Arriving in Harbour, you will be transfered by small boat to Gia Luan dock. Our bike is already for you once you arrive. We start riding from Gia Luan through Cat Ba National Park back to the Town, on the way we conquer some stiff passes. However, you are rewarded by captivating scenic beauty and thrilling soaring mountain. Arrivin in Cat Ba town, you are free to explore the town or go to swim on beach.  Have dinner and stayover night in Cat Ba.

After breakfast in Hotel, we starting riding  from Hotel to Cat ba National Park, on the way we conquere three passes before rolling to Cat Ba National park. Upon arriving in Park, we leave the bikes and trekking inside jungle to discover the biodiversity values of national park and climb on the peak to take overview of Cat Ba and Halong Bay also. Riding bike back Town by another hilly road. Have lunch enroute, have free time in afternoon. Dinner and stay overnight in Cat Ba town.

Today is the last day of cycling in Red River Delta, you have time to explore the daily life of local fishmen and  experience interesting activities  on the way back to Hanoi.We start cycling from Hotel follow the coast and hilly road lead to Cai Vieng Commune and Viet Hai fishsauce villges. We take two public ferries before landing on Hai Phong city.Arriving in Dinh Vu international sea Port, Have  lunch in seafoods restaurant. After lunch time, we take short transfer out of bustling city and then cycle back to Hanoi via Hai Duong Province.Ariving in  Hanoi late afternoon, do check in and have relax by yourself.Farewell dinner is arranged for your group. Trekking route: Hanoi - Bac Ha - Sapa - Ta Van - Ban Ho - Mai Chau - Hai Phong - Halong - Hanoi

When trekking we stay in friendly hotel, guesthouse or homestays. Some are more basic than others! Bear in mind that some of the places we overnight in are not on the standard tourist trail.In larger cities and towns, our hotels are generally more western style and are three or four hotels or resort. Please do not expect the same standard as you would your home.

Homestay in the villages is simple interm of  bedding condition and ementies. We will sleep  on beds  or floor with mattress, clean sheet, pillow and mosquito nets. Toilet is usually western style.

Foods and Drinks
All the meals which, are mentioned in itinerary, are included in the price of this tour. Most of meals are Vietnamese local food in Homestays . while in towns, we will enjoy Vietnamese cuisine in delicious restaurants.  Meals consist of a variety of banlanced dishes and aim for universal appeal, we avoid highly spiced foods. Vegetarians are certainly welcome and are always accommodated, please let us know of any dietary concerns at time of booking. Beverage  and alcoholic drink are not included  at mealtime or in restaurants
when we transfer, ride by minibus ( no trekking day),  our bottled waters are always available  for you ( two little for one day for person with wet tissue). When we have trekking days, we will offer cold water and wet tissue in box plus fresh tropical fruit, soft – drink, energy – drinking, ( five little water for trekking day/ person).  Beer is freely available everywhere in Vietnam, but not include in our trip.
Our guides: the tour will be led by one of English - speaking guides. All our guides have great knowledge of history, local culture,  and religions of the area where you are cycling and introduce that experiences for you . our guides have been  trained  in this field and is fully licensed in tour guiding by Vietnam National Tourism. Our guides are also medically skilled in first Aid by SOS  and they know how to deal  with hard situations.\

Grading definition: To assist you visualise how our trip is difficult, we have graded our adventure tours into three categories, easy, moderate, and challenging, we group many factors into consideration into this grading, including distant covered, terrain, altitude, weather conditions and vehicle support
Easy: suitable for most people in good health. These trips  generally include short days, on good paths and at low attitudes

Moderate: A reasonable level of fitness is required, as these trips can require sustained endurance levels, hill longer days and altitude.All of our moderate trips have a support vehicle following closely, weary travellers can hitch a ride and take a rest for a while.

Challenging: these trips are physically demanding and best suite for  fit people with high endurancce level. Day can be longer, often at altitude, in remoted regions and sometimes without supports vehicle nearby.. travellers may be required  to carry a backpacks.
Important information
 Passport &Visa information
All visitors  are required to have a valid  visa to enter Vietnam. A one month tourist visa is usually sufficients for most visitors, though it is possible to arrange  three months  or six month – multiple entry visa for regular visitors. The Snail Adventure Tours company  is authorised to issue visa on arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi, Danang International Airport in Danang,  and Tan San Nhat in Ho chi Minh city.The same authorisation proceduce  and a minimum of 5 days working  notice is required. In emergency case they can arrange a visa o arrival if notice of 2  working days is given

Travel Insurance
Our tour price do not include insurance. However, it is a condition of joining our tours that traveler are fully insured for any medical expenses they may incur whilst traveling. At the start of your travel the tour guide  will ask and collect your insurance document and will note down the policy number and emergency contact number.Travel insurance is compulsory for any participant. It is adviced that all travelers should have travel insurance covered before your departure. This will be helpful incase of medical emergency evacuation. It is with go safe. The travel insurance will  cover  against  hospital  and   medical  expenses,  the  cover  relates  to  expenses asa consequence of accidents occurring to the bearer during the period of insurance and /or unforseen illnesses which arise during that period as well.However travel insurance will cover all your valuable things,  luggages, laptop, ipad,  camera broken, lost or cut off itinerary once you traveling. Vaccinations and protection
When  you  are  planning  trip  in  Vietnam.  it  is  important  to  get  up  date  with  all  necessary  Vietnam  travel  health information. Here, we compiled some handy tips and advice about how to get prepared for your trip to help to ensure  that you stay healthy during your travel. Though we have taken the greatest care to make sure that the information on this page is accurate. It is your responsibility to visit your doctor or medical facility at least 06 months before you depart for full Vietnam travel health information.
Vaccinations  are  not  officially  required  by  the  Vietnamese  authorities,  However,  immunization  against  cholera, hepatitis, typhoid, tetanus, polio, and Japanese encephalitis is strongly adviced.Please consult your doctor for further medical advice. Also bring mosquito repellent. Wearing long sleeved shirts and slacks from dusk onward and avoiding perfume is also recommended.  In addition to an ample supply of any prescription drugs you are taking ( a prescription which can be filled incase your pills go missing) bring medicines for: headaches, diarrhea, constipation, insect bites, sorethroats, eyes drops, cuts, etc. Medical standards outside Hanoi and Hochiminh city, SiemReap and luang Prabang are lower than those found in western countries.

Personal medical kits
You should bring along a personal supply of basic medical items such as plaster, aspirin, insect repellent etc. In area of  limites or suspect medical facilities, some travellers also like to take their own medical kit which can be used by the local medical staff in case of accident or illness. Our adventure tour leader carry a comprehensive First Aid Kits ( include a sterile pack) for emergencies but do not dispense medicine.

Exisiting medical conditions.
All persons joining our  tours are assumed to be in good health and to have a sufficient level of fitness to complete their chosen  itinerary.  If  you  have  existing  medical  condition  or  disability  you  must  make  this  known  at  the  time  of booking. If accepted on the tours, you must also make your condition know to the cyclign tour leader.
Trekking detail
As vietnam is long and narrow country from the north to the south, climate conditions vary considerably. The climate can be divided into three distinct patterns between  the north, central and the south regions. The climate in the north generally humid and suptropical. Although the winter months from october to march can be colder with temperature from 8 15 degrees. Summer months, may to september from 28 – 40 degree. Meanwhile south Vietnam enjoys tropical climate all year round, with little variation throughout the year ( around 27 – 35 degrees) however, may to November is the raining season when sort heave downpour are quite frequent. Central Vietnam lies somwhere in between.  The coast strips is usually dry and hotter from April to October whileNovember to March is wetter and cooler.  A light rain jacket and small umbrella are recommended year round.
Pack essentailly for hot conditions athough December through to February warmer clothing is needed. Bear in mind that the region is tropical ( humid) and  can be hot. Lightweight rainwear is advisable at all time.  The north is cold at night during winter. Highland areas around Sapa are likely to be cooler especially at night and you should pack accordingly. Cassual clothes are the most practical.

03 days trekking from Sapa – stretch Ban Ho area. we will stay in carefuly selected Eco homestays in each village destinations. You will be provied sleeping mat, mattres, pillow, mosquito net, blanket and toilet kit ( shampoo, tootbrush, tower) hot water and bathroom will be provided in each  Eco village.
Water bottle: water bootle along the trail must never be considered as drinkable. Take 1,5 litre personal water bottle ( preferable insulated). Our support crew on the trek provide sterilized water each meal time to replenish your supplies. Also energy scacks ( nuts, Cereal bars... are recommended whilst on trek.
Walking poles: there must be useful for the up hill and down hill in this  tour. Adequate poles can be bought in Hanoi.
Sunglasses. A good pair of sunglasses are good for protection against UV rays. Sun Hat, High Factor, Sun Cream/ Block & lips salve bring suncream to protect your skin against the sun. Combination sunblock/ lipsalve is ideal for facial protection.
Foot wear
Walking or hiking boots with good ankle support.trainer/ and or sandals for travelling and general wear.
Luggage: on Tours
One main piece  of baggages and daypack. Remember you are expected to carry your own luggage, so dont overload yourself
Luggage whilst on trek. This should consists of a main piece of baggage, a holdall or kitbag for your trek and a daypack to carry your personal gear. We recommend you have holdall and kitbag for your trek in Phu Luong. You overnight bag will be taken to the village night stop by vehicle
Day bag: One each trekking day you will be required to carry your day pack or light rucksack, large enough to carry essential items such as water, snack, rain coat and sun / weather protection.
Luggage storage in Hanoi; For a small charge you  can use one of hotel based in Hanoi to leave the bulk of your gear while away on treks on the jungle trail to Fansipang mountain and descending through stunning rice terrace to Sapa valley.

the official national currency is the Vietnamese Dong ( VND), but the US dollar is widely accepted in allmost tourist centers. However, small towns and the villages the VND is preferred, ATM are available in all major cities and towns, tourist destinations, Vietcombank, Agriculture banks are the best networks with  a limit a single withdraw limit of 2000,000 d ( 95 USD). Most major currrencies can be exchanged in leading in Vietnam, but th USD is preferred  away from the tourist centers. Changing 100 USD  wil make you to be a millionaire. You can not legally take the dong out of Vietnam but you can reconvert reasonable amounts of it into USD on departure,.
