The road surfaces are mixed: most days we ride on reasonably good quality asphalt roads, but there are enough rides on dirt tracks to mean you will need a mountain bike with front shocks. There is nothing technical involved on this tour and anyone, assuming they are fit enough, will be able to join no matter how little cycling experience they have. This trip is fully supported and is stacked with local fruit, snacks, ice water and drinks.

Day 1: Danang – Hoi An Arrival

A short morning flight takes us  to the busy port of Danang. We transfer to our hotel, assemble our bikes and set off along the coast on a warm-up ride. We ride via the Marble Mountains, home to caves and Buddhist shrines. Moving on, we reach My Khe Beach – thought to be the famous China Beach, which was used as ‘R&R’ by US troops. Continuing south, we ride on to Hoi An, beautiful well-preserved ancient trading port which is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its temples and architecture show the different cultural influences of its time. Luckily for Hoi An, its importance waned long before the Vietnam War and it was left isolated and untouched. It’s a lovely place to wander and explore, and we spend the night here. Night in hotel; Summary:

Day 2: Hoi An Back Road

Hoi An, which is a world heritage of Vietnam, has long been a cultural crossroad and remains such a  ancient beauty after nearly 300 circles of the four seasons. Its buildings and its street plan reflect the influences, both indigenous and foreign, that have combined to produce this unique heritage site.Cycling both in ancient town and rural villages, offer for you interesting challenging. Our trip start in Hotel  ride single track, paved road through peaceful villages, water coconut falm trees, cannals to vibrant Hoi An Town.take the time to capture remarkable image of Japanese covered roof bridge, Communal houses. then  commence to Thanh Ha traditional Ceramic villages, Tra Que herb village and Thuy Linh Lattern lamp shades workshops, back Hoi An for lunch/ After lunch . we ride to Cua Dai  for swimming in imposing sand beach.  Have dinner and stay in  Hoi An Riverside Resort

Day 3: Hoi An – Phuoc Son

 8:00 am departure by vehicle from Hoi An World Heritage site (70 km) approximately before we get far enough out of town to start biking. 60 km biking through great sections of jungle, nice landscapes and waterfalls. Lunch is served on the way (picnic style). After lunch, continue to bike to Phuoc Son with an estimated arrival at 3:00 pm. Dinner will be organized in Phuoc Son with an overnight in a comfortable local guest house.

Day 4: Phuoc Son – Ngoc Hoi (Pleikan)

Breakfast at the hotel and an early departure at 7:00 am. This is the best riding day of the trip with a fantastic 70 kilometer section of deep jungle forest on both sides of the road. The ride is also very hilly and runs along the border of  Ngoc Linh National Park and Ngoc Linh Mtn.(2400 meters) through the Truong Son mountain range. This is also the day that we travel along the famous Ho Chi Minh Trail. The Ba Na and Sedang minorities reside in this jungle area. You have short break for lunch in a local restaurant. Biking in the afternoon to hotel in Ngoc Hoi with estimated arrival time around 4:00 pm.

Day 5: Ngoc Hoi – Bo Y  Border – Attapeu

Have hearty breakfast in hotel, our shuttle bus take us to border gate to check in, after completing formality immigration, we say good bye Vietnam team and hello Laos team. Start cycling from border to Attapeu. Enjoy magificent scenery and breaktaking landscape when cycle through rustic villages and stunning fruit farm.

Challenge 14 km long to summit and rolling bike to Appatue.

 Day 6: Attapeu  - Champasak

We commence our cycling trip day fom hotel, we enjoy cycling on undulaing road in the morning through  Dong Hua Sao Bio Diversity. Stop on the way to take photo and admire stunning scenery.
We hold on ascending pedal on Bio National Park for picnic lunch. After lunch , we  challenge our leg to summit before descending to Champasak. Stay over night in Champasak
Hotel: Riverside Resort****
Activities: Today leisurely cycling along Mekong river then ascending 30 km on summit before descending to Champansak.

Day 7: Champasak – Don Khong

Breakfast at the hotel. Head south to Champassak City to visit one of the oldest archaeological site in Laos, the Wat Phu, or Mountain Temple (6th-13th century), built by the pre-Angkorian Khmers about 200 years before Angkor Wat. Wat Phu is situated at the foot of the holy mountain - Phu Kao, and offers a splendid scenery of the surrounding plains and the Mekong River. The stone complex is consisted of two ruined palaces and a hall on the lower terrace, six shrines on the middle and a temple sanctuary on the upper. Wat Phu has been designated as the World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002. Continue further south to Tha Ban Hat and cross the Mekong River by a ferry to Tha Ban Na for the journey to Don Khong Or Khong Island, located within the region of Si Phan Done (or Four Thousand Islands). Don Khong, with its peaceful villages and lovely people, offers a great unique experience in this unexplored southern land. In the late afternoon, visit to Muang Sene to enjoy the sunset over the Mekong River. Overnight in Don Khong.

Day 8: Don Khong – Don Det- four thousand islands
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a scenic cruise on the Mekong River to the twin islands of Si Phan Don, - Don Det and Don Khone Island, connected by a former railway bridge. Don Det and Don Khone offers a go back in time experience with its typical Lao way of life - serene village, smiling locals and kids, rice paddy fields, coconut and bamboo trees, river and fishing nets, all are an unforgettable and lovely scene of the islands. If you are lucky, there is an opportunity to see Mekong dolphins in the river. At Ban Khon Village, you can see many old French colonial houses. Hike along the historic railway built by the French in 1897, but stopped operation in 1945. Also a great place for taking photographs. Continue to see the amazing Li Phi Waterfall (or locally called Taat Somhamit), ranging set of rapids at one end of Don Khone. Return to Don Khong for overnight.

Day 9: Don Det – Pakse

Breakfast at the hotel. Make a farewell to Don Khong and take a ferry across the Mekong River from Tha Ban Na to Tha Ban Hat. Continue by car to visit the magnificent Khone Phapheng Waterfall, the Southeast Asians largest and most spectacular waterfall. Known as Niagara, Khone Phapheng offers Enjoy a dramatic scenery of formidable rapids cutting through rocks and gorges at Khon Pha Pheng Waterfall, known as Niagara, where you can view and take great photos. Drive north to Pakse and drop off at your hotel.
Second option: following to breakfast in hotel, we commence cycling from Hotel on scenic route back to Pakse. Enjoy stunning scenic beauty and brilliant sightsseeing as we cycle along Mekong River and Rubber plantation.

Day 10: Pakse – Lak Hon Si

You will be treated by  amazing breakfast in hotel,  then our shuttle bus take  ourside city to avoid crowded traffic. Upon arriving of cycling point, we commence our new cycling on scenic route look North to Vientiane city. Today we will cycle ascendingly on sceneic route, passing many authentic hill tribe villages and stunning farms to Lak Hon Si.
 Lak Hon Si is  small town between Pakse and Savanakhet. It boasts dreamlike scenery and unspoited nature.

Day 11: Lak Hon Si – Savannakhet

After hearty breakfast in hotel, we commence our new cycling day from Hotel on  scenic  route, along Mekong river, heading north to reach Savannakhet in the late afternoon. Before retiring for the night in Savannakhet, we'll have time for a stroll along the Mekong shore with the view of Thai city of Mukdahan on the opposite bank and the city of Mukdahan.

Day 12: Savannakhet –Thakhet

Following to hearty breakfast in hotel, leaving the hustling and bustling city behind. We take short trasnsfer by bus to cycling point where our crew is waiting for us.
A cozy ride through the countryside will provide beautiful views and an insight into rural Lao life. After arriving in Thakek city, acharming country town with colonial architecture, you'll check into your hotel and have an opportunity for an orientation tour.

Day 13: Thakhet – Na Hin

We'll set out early on a cross-country minivan trip to the northern part of the provinces Khammuan and Boulikhamxay. The Phou Hin Boun nature reserve is home to many rare animals such as Assam macaques, langurs, gibbons and elephants. We’ll take a boat trip on the Hinboun River passing through evergreen jungles and the Kong Lor cave system. With a little luck, we'll meet one of the rare species face to face. We'll see the rarely visited 7.5 km long Kong Lor Cave by boat; this is considered by some to be the greatest natural wonder in Laos.  You'll spend the night in Nahin.

Day 14: Na Hin – Paksan

Enjoy cozy breakfast in Resort. We set off our way back to main road and keep cycling on scenic road, less traffic to paksan.
We will ride through tranquil villages, meet and interact with hill tribe on the way, contemplate spectacular scenery and stunning  farms. Have lunch enroute.Following to lunch meal, we hop up our bike on grave road to  Paksan.
The provincial capital of Bolikhamsai is Paksan, locates in the middle part of the country a blip of a town that sits at the confluence of the Nam San and Mekong rivers almost opposite the small Thai town of Bueng Kan, visible across the river. The provincial capital is a sleepy transportation hub, mostly just used as a place to stay before heading along the back road to Phonsavan or across the border into Thailand.

Day 15: Paksan – Vientiane

Having hearty breakfast in hotel, we commence  cycling from Hotel, looking forward to tranquil city- Vientiane. Cycling on scenic and undulating route, passing many cozy hill tribes village and stunning farms along Mekong  River. Stop on the way to experience brilliant scenery. Have lunch enroute. After lunch, we set off our way to City.Visit famous places in Vientiane including Vat Si Saket, Ho Prakeo, Vat Si Muang, That Luang, Patuxai. Late in the afternoon, enjoy cycling tours in Laos along the Mekong River to enjoy brilliant sunset over the city. Overnight in hotel.
