 Our cycling tour starts in Hanoi, Vietnam's beautiful capital. Vietnam has the richest and most complex ethnic make-up in the whole of South-East Asia.  We set our way to North East Vietnam, cycling through breathtaking scenery in  Tuyen Quang and Luc Yen, Nghia Lo forward to untouched  and remoted region of Yen Bai province. We road  bike through villages of H'mong, Tay, Dao and Xa Pho minorities, whose markets and festivals add such colour and character to the cycle tour. Our bicycle holiday includes challenging cycling and a wonderful opportunity to experience the traditional and varied lifestyles in Vietnam and Laos.

 We travel through a landscape of amazing karstic rock formations, cycling past stilted houses with thatched roofs and mountains nestled between limestone outcrops. We cross into North Eastern Laos at Tay Trang, the least populated area of the country, from here we will bicycle on through tranquil scenery meeting very few fellow cyclists. Laos is a mountainous land-locked country, of outstanding beauty, and is known for the warmth and friendliness of the Laotian people.  Our  Vietnam & Laos cycling holiday includes a visit to Luang Prabang,  UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Welcome to Vietnam. Arriving at Noi Bai International Airport, Snail Adventure Tour guide and driver will greet and pick you up to the hotel at the heart of Hanoi capital. Hanoi, the antique and dynamic city of Vietnam, reserves a unique old world charm and several of the most striking colonial architecture of Asia. After the checking-in,Take relax by your own and do briefing itinerary with our guide for coming days. enjoy a cyclo ride through the bustling streets in the Old Quarter to discover the ancient and modern beauty of Hanoi. After the tour, you will be warmly welcome with a special welcoming dinner in a typical Vietnamese food restaurant. Stay overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi Back Road and Rural Village

A full day out - door cycling adventure tour in Hanoi suburban will be fascinating way to explore and experience peaceful countryside and daily life of local people. Leaving hustle and bustle city behind. We kick off our pedals to another side of Red River where you are absolutely captivated by pristine nature, lush green rice paddy, hospitable people and rich culture treasure. Moreover, the travelers have time to visit daily local markets , temples, pagodas to understand Vietnamese culture when we ride through quaint villages. meeting friendly people or  drink a cup of tea , enjoy local specialties with host whilst visiting their family. we are also greeted " Hello" by school kid  on the way back their home.

Having lunch at one of Ancient house in village. Cycling on single track through village and lake lead to Bavi National Park,
 
Leaving the hustling  and bustling city behind, our shullte bus take us to out side city.  Upon arrival on cycling point, we start pedalling on single track along Red River, through many village, vegetable gardens, banana, corn farms, stop visiting Two Trung sisters temples, then keep cycling to Duong Lam Ancient Village, a purely argricultural village of the Northen Red River Delta where still preserve many hundred year old houses.

Day 3: Hanoi – Vinh Yen – Tam Dao – Son Duong – My lam Hot spring water

Having hearty breakfast in hote, leaving the hustling and bustling city behind, we set off our way to  far North Viet Nam. Upon cycling  point, we commence our new cycling from Vinh Yen, hop off our bike on tarmac road, passing through quaint villages and rustic, poetic  scenery of northern path Vietnam to Son Duong Town.
Have picnic lunch enroute, after lunch, we kick off our bike on scenic route and breathtaking landscapes to Tuyen Quang  city. Cycling more 25 km on village road to My Lam Hot spring water for staying overnight. After checking in hotel, we relax in hot water spring pool. Dinner and stay overnight in Chau A hotel.

Day 4: My Lam – Vu Linh -  Luc Yen

Get up early to observe the daily life of hilltribes in village, enjoy pancake and hot coffee with our host.
We setting of our way from village cycling to Luc yen Town where is well known Rubi and gems stones in the North Vietnam. We will spend our time to look around market  and learn about the process of making amazing Rubi products. We continue our trip through lush gums tree and cinnamon forest to Lam Thuong Ecohome village. Lam Thuong is small  and peacefull village where Dao Hill tribe people have been living for hundred years, creating unique culture and identity.We cycle on single track trail and village road from village to village to admire stunning scenery.
If the time permit, we will walk to wonderful waterfalll nearby village. Have dinner and stay with local people.

Day 5: Luc Yen – Mau A – Ngoi Thia – Nghia Lo

Having  hearty breakfast with our host, say good bye them them we kick off our pedal cycling through rustic village to main road. after few kilometre cycling on tarmac road, we turn off on scenic road, cycling through brilliant rural landscapes and peaceful village to Nghia Lo Town. Stop on the way for picnic lunch. Following to lunch  meals, we contine our trip along river to Nghia Lo. Dinner and stay overnight in Nghia Lo.

Day 6: Nghia Lo – Tu Le  - Mu Cang Chai

Get up early to join in coloreful hill tribe market in morning. Interact with local people to unnderstand their life. Having breakfast in Local restaurant. we gear up our pedal from Hotel to Tu Le. Today is amazing day for us as we cycle on tarmac road and mixed emotion road,
The first stage, we cycle on undulating road, passing local village and tea farms, rice terrace paddy field.
The second stage is harder and  more challenging whilst we cycle ascendingly to the pass then descending to Tu Le Town.  Upon arriving in Tu Le. Having lunch in local restaurant.  challenge  22 Km of  Khau Pass. Upon arriving on summit, the soft drink and fruits will be available for you. Then we hold on our depal to descend on scenic route lead to Mu Cang Chai. we will have nice cycling surround the village and seeing wonderful terrace rice field of Mu Cang Chai.

Day 7: Mu Cang Chai – Son La

Enjoy tasty breakfast in Ecolodge, we kick off our bikes  from lovely place, look forward to amazing scenery and landscape today. Cycling through untouched region with colorful hill tribes villages and rice terrace paddy field.
We cycle on newly paved road and along river to observe two giant hydropower in North Vietnam. Have lunch enroute. After lunch, we continue our trip to Son La city

Day 8: Son La – Tuan Giao

Today is great day and challenging for all most riders.  We  will do conquer  and challenge one of the longest pass “Pa Din Pass” link between Son La and Tuan Giao with 32 km long ( 18km ascent, 14 km desent) Start from Hotel, we ride ascent 7 km out of Son La Town, then descent  new asphalt road, through stunning, rural scenery where limestone mountains rise out of the valley floor. We reach to Summit stop for refreshment, and photo moment . Checking the gear, brake before rolling down 12 km to Tuan Giao Town.

Day 9: Tuan Giao -  Dien Bien

Today contrast agaist previous day when we cycle  on undulating route and enjoy breathtaking scenery to Dien Bien phu.
Start from hotel, we gear up our bike to conquer short  pass before descending long long  hill to  Bung Lao. We start cycling on undulaing road lead to Muong Ang Town then challenge 8 km pass to Summit for picnic lunch. After lunch meals, we descendingly cycle to Dien Bien Phu city.

Day 10: Dien Bien  Phu – Muang Khuar ( Hello Laos – Bye VietNam)

Dien Bien Phu was the site of a decisive battle that led to a 56-day siege of the French garrison and consequential end of the French colonial occupation. On the  site of the battle there now stands Dien Bien Phu Museum were  old French tanks and artillery can be seen along with the re-building of the bunker headquarters of the French commander Colonel Christian de Castries. We’ll explore the city in half the morning and then cycle 20km (around 2 hours on the flat road to the foot of Tay Trang Pass). Enjoy picnic lunch and the final 10km is transferred to the border gate. After Laos visa procedure is completed, we will drive 2-3 hours to Muang Khua for overnight stay.

Day 11: Muang Khua – Udomxai

After breakfast, we head east in direction to Udomxai province, you should be feeling refreshed, although it is a gradual downhill it is up hill in some places but do not worry it is not too steep. There are some excellent photo opportunities of the friendly Khmu tribe and their families. Lunch is prepared by our guide and helpers so we can find a nice spot for lunch stop by the stream. Today is a great day riding.

Day 12: Udomxai – Pakmong – Nong Khiaw

 Today is the hardest day but the best rides of the trip, we ride along Route 13 north, after 5 km from guesthouse the road starts to wind upwards and we start the first of a series of long climbs through high mountains but scenery is perfect. We are in the land of the Hmong (high Lander) who are known as originally live in high elevation in northern Laos, in former time they lived by growing opium. After long climb, we rest on the first peak for water, snacks and seasonal fruits. Then we continue the next 30 km to the second and the third peak for lunch stop, after lunch it is down, down and down as we descend 30 km into the valley, this is a last downhill. At the end of the descent, we arrive our destination at Pakmong, a village that marks the junction at where the road turns towards Luangprabang/. Then we take transfer 31 km to Nong Khiaw.

Day 13: Nongkhiaw  – Luang Prabang

After breakfast we ride along Route 13 north head to LuangPrabang, today is the longest day, the road is up and down hill but no big climb, it is easy ride. At kilometer 30 to LuangPrabang we turn from road 13 on dirt road toward the Mekong River at Pak Ou village and visit Buddha caves. Optional riding or driving the last 30 km to LuangPrabang

Day 14:  Khuang Si waterfalls cycling

An easy ride to the scenic Khuang Si Waterfalls along ethnic villages such as Hmong and Khmu. At the falls, crystal water cascades into idyllic turquoise pools. Please bring a bathing suit if you would like to swim! Also take time to visit the nearby Sunbear Refuge to learn more about the poaching of these endangered creatures.

Day 15: Luang Prabang Onward
